MPACT DANCE - ALL STAR TEAMS
Mpact Dance Studio is proud to offer an All Star Dance program, where dancers train and compete in the highly competitive world of club dance. All Star Dance is a unique and exciting experience that combines elite technical training, performance excellence, teamwork, and personal growth in a positive and challenging environment. Our teams compete at regional and national events judged by industry professionals and collegiate-level coaches, giving dancers valuable experience and exposure throughout their competitive journey.
All Star Dance differs from a recreational dance program, performing company, or traditional high school drill team. Our athletes train in a structured, team-focused environment that emphasizes proper technique, athleticism, artistry, and discipline while prioritizing the physical and mental well-being of every dancer. At Mpact, we are committed to creating a safe, encouraging atmosphere where dancers can grow in confidence while reaching their highest potential both on and off the stage.
For dancers who aspire to continue their dance careers at the collegiate or professional level, All Star Dance provides exceptional preparation and opportunity. Our dancers gain experience performing in collegiate-style settings while developing the technical foundation, versatility, professionalism, and work ethic needed for future success. Through strong mentorship and advanced training, dancers are equipped with the tools and confidence to pursue their goals beyond high school.
Whether a dancer is just beginning their competitive journey or preparing for graduation, the lessons learned through All Star Dance extend far beyond the stage. Dancers develop lifelong friendships and valuable life skills, including leadership, communication, accountability, time management, teamwork, confidence, and resilience. At Mpact Dance Studio, we believe in investing not only in each dancer’s talent and training, but also in their character, future, and overall growth as individuals.

Team Expectations
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:Rehearsal schedules are determined based on the routines and teams each dancer is selected for. Team rehearsals are typically held Monday through Friday during evening hours, with additional weekend rehearsals scheduled as needed in preparation for competitions or performances. Final rehearsal schedules for the season will be established following team placements. Please keep in mind that ongoing weekly after-school commitments or scheduling conflicts may impact team placement if a dancer is unable to consistently attend their assigned rehearsal nights at Mpact Dance Studio.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:At Mpact Dance Studio, we believe that proper technical training is essential to every dancer’s growth and success within our All Star program. In order to support performance development and ensure dancers are prepared to compete at a high level, all team members are required to enroll in our weekly classes including ballet, technique, acro, plus additional classes if needed to improve skills. If a dancer is struggling in a specific area, Mpact coaches reserve the right to recommend or require additional training hours and/or private lessons to support their progress and confidence. Dancers who consistently attend classes and dedicate themselves to training outside of rehearsals are better prepared to perform with confidence and excellence on stage. A consistent training schedule also helps dancers develop valuable life skills such as discipline, accountability, strong work ethic, and self-motivation. These expectations are designed to encourage each dancer’s personal and technical growth, and we are excited to watch every athlete continue to grow both as a dancer and as an individual through our program.

Audition Process & Team Placement
Our audition process will be held the week of each week in May. All team placements will be announced by email. Coach and parent meeting will be held the following week. All days of the audition process and meeting are mandatory to be considered for team placement.
All audition choreography will be taught in classes the week before auditions. You will only need to learn the choreography for the styles/teams that you will be auditioning for. There will not be any specific choreography taught for variety teams. If you would like to be considered for variety, you will need to learn and audition the jazz, pom, lyrical, and hip hop choreography.
In order to attend the choreography classes, you will need to register + pay for auditions, as well as pay our annual studio registration fee.
In addition to the choreography, dancers may be asked to improv across the floor, or perform technique combinations that will be taught during the audition. While we do not have a set list of required skills, we create teams by grouping dancers with similar skill sets together. This can vary from year to year.
TEAM PLACEMENT:Dancers will not only be separated into teams by skill set, but age as well, specifically based off of their birth year. Dancers are required to attend all audition times in which their birth year is included. Listed below is the 2026-2027 USASF dance age grid for reference. YOUTH 2013-2018 JUNIOR 2010-2016 SENIOR 6/1/2007–2014 OPEN on or before 12/31/2011
